YouPlayer - Video Player for YouTube App Reviews

Tested all free options avilable and thats the best one. It has more features and is the easiest one to use.

Big fan of the app for its background play, currently still l running an older version because I dont want to lose it. Videos have completely stopped. Cant recommend

I like this app, but it does have some caveats. The most recent update got rid of background play, which was an awesome feature. Not quite sure why that happened, but whatever. Since its gone, Ill just lower its star value. Another annoying thing about it, is that it doesnt see save playlists, even though Im logged in. The official YouTube app doesnt have this problem, but its official.Not a bad app, but I probably wouldnt buy the premium version if I was to go back and do it again. The app receives very few updates unfortunately.

No background play anymore?! Are the developers retarded?!

The main reason I like this application because I was able to save videos under the favorite section. Recently about half of my favorites mysteriously became titled differently with the same link about device support YouTube something like that. Then, in my history section the same problem occurred and its even to the point when I updated it last night I figured it would fix all of the issues, but instead it made things worse. Now all of my videos in my history section have disappeared with the exception of the two I saw yesterday what is going on? Now its been a few months since I wrote everything prior to this sentence. For some reason I guess I never got around to finishing and sending the review. The prior issue has been fixed, but now there are more problems and its been multiple months since this application has a last been updated. When you select a video the loading icon just continues to rotate on and on for countless minutes. Ive tried it on another device and the same thing happens. Get it together guys. Its always something new if you cant consistently provide a decent experience just collaborate with the original YouTube app and hash things out with them because its getting ridiculous. Please update!!

Seems like Google forced this app to remove its background play capability, but thats the only thing it had going for it.

The app wont let you play music in the background anymore-pretty useless.

This app is a joke. hell, the Youtube app itself is 10 times better. Honestly you got rid of the one thing that made this app a viable alternative. background playback. now you have to pay for it? how insulting. Just jailbreakk, get a tweek and call it a day.

I love this app, my phone wont let me download YouTube so I decided to download this instead. I ignored the bad Reviews and I dont like this app I love it!!!

Of the 1900 apps I own this and a photo app Squareready are the least deserving of the harsh criticism that I have seen.

At first it was fine. No random commercials or surveys before the video started. It also had your favorites tucked away. And it played in the background, which was nice. After about three years, the dumb thing kept crashing, it wouldnt play any videos, it forced me to buy and outrageous price if I wanted to upgrade. The people behind this app tried to fix bugs in the system, but ever time they did this, the app would get even more messed up than it was before. I really liked this app, because I could watch videos without the age restrictions. Dont bother even looking at this app, its a pice of garbage

I love this for its simplicity. All I want to do is check the days most popular videos and search for videos on a subject or posted by a particular user. This lets me do all of that without even logging in, and lets me send the link to another app if I want to share it. The independent volume control at the bottom of the video screen is especially useful for vids that are unusually soft or loud, and it doesnt muck up the system volume. I dont want or need all kinds of bells and whistles. This app is simple, clean, easy, just right.

This app is not the same as it used to be. At this rate I dont even want to keep using this app anymore, its just been sitting on my ipad. Lately I prefer the actual YouTube app now since I can link it to my Blu-ray and watch to my hearts content. Bye forever.

Lack of support for comments and likes/dislikes. Would rate it 5 stars and get the paid version if it had this support.

New version dont show related videos. And it takes longer to load.

The upload date of a video is not shown. The only way to see it is in the search result view in landscape mode. Please add the upload date to the detailed view. Otherwise great app. Thanks!

New version has a bug! It doesnt load ALL your subscribed channels so you can watch only videos from a few of your subscriptions...
