YouPlayer - Video Player for YouTube App Reviews

Bring back the background play mode!getting rid of it only makes things worse for anybody to enjoy this app!

Only used this for the background play back, now that its gone so is this app

Did this current upgrade get rid of being able to listen to the audio in the background? That was the only reason for this app. Whos idea was that? I hope they got fired.

No longer useful.

Not a good app, I used it for years because it allowed to listen to music while the app ran in the background, but now its just another useless YouTube app that is no where near as good as the official one.

I have been exclusively using YouPlayer for years because it is simply the best client around. It allows you to choose resolution depending on your connection, is lightweight, has a great PiP mode and with the IAP, provides a completely ad-free experience. Newest version allows for great iPhone 6S shortcuts, but removes audio backgrounding. The removal of audio backgrounding was due to Google, but PiP is still supported just fine. If you absolutely need backgrounding or just Audio playback, get vox for Audio, and YouPlayer for everything else. Loving the new 3D Touch features and I am happy development is ongoing.

this app in the past useto be fun to play various youplayer vids. then i dont know what happened to it during the years it got bugs infestment. it dont play properly sometimes.

New update causes the app to not open. Id write about the changes they made, but I cant experience them because the app doesnt even work anymore. Time to move on to a better player

Doesnt worth to use this app if theres no background play.

Used to like this app for whatever reason. The new update that changes the symbol to orange must have software compatibility issues because it does not work on my phone anymore. Will be uninstalling.

Your only job was background audio, kill yourselves.

I cannot believe they got rid of the ability to play videos in the background. Its the ONLY reason to own this app, its pretty garbage but the background playback made it worth it. Without there is no reason to use it.

I used to love this app because it had the ability to play videos in the background.Im really upset that it doesnt work anymore with the new update!Without the videos being able to be played in the background there is no point in having the app.

I simply cant open the app at all. After the update the app just continues to crash. Waste of my time. And Ive had the app for years.

the new update brought it down to the level of the regular YouTube app except worse interface horrible navigation the channels vs videos layout makes no sense. the only difference now is it can do PIP which the YouTube website in safari or chrome can also do. DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYMORE and I just deleted my download

Reducing my review rating from three stars (wonky but allows background play) to one star (crashes and no background play). Crap to uninstall now.

Apparently this app seems to crash every time I open it so for now its unusable at this point

I dont know what happened I was literally using it before the update and after now when I try to play from anything else it just pauses it right after. Use to be great
