YouPlayer - Video Player for YouTube App Reviews

Okay, what? Where is my background audio playback? That was my main reason for having this app at all. The YouTube version is no better but geez. If Google requested the background audio be taken away I hope they get karma too. I liked this app better than YouTube, probably a petty way for Google to shove around the competition. Now if only somebody would pull their head out of their rear and just give us background audio playback for real. >:/ Can I have a refund also? I paid for the upgrade to this app to show support but now support has taken the one useful feature and flushed it.

Only reason I liked it was to play in the background. Since I cant now its useless dont get this its just like YouTube

Pleaseeeeee bring back the background music back, its the only reason I have this app...

This app was my favorite and my main youtube player but with the latest update it only crashes and I cant even open it anymore on iphone 6. Please fix it asap or I will need to delete it forever. Its been almost two weeks since this unfortunate update but still no fixes yet. If i was a developer of this app, I would do all in my power to do something about before its too late. This is quite upsetting !!!

Without background playback, I might as well just use the YouTube app that comes with my iPhone. This used to be a decent app, maybe even a great one. Im disappointed.

The reason they took out the ability to play audio in the background is because this is a feature of YouTubes pay service YouTube Red, and they dont want anyone to get something for nothing.

The only reason I kept this app was for the background play. Other than that, at this point the app crashes with every attempt at watching a video. As such after over a year of supporting YouPlayer its time that I delete it and move on to something more useful.

Doesnt play music in the background anymore. So its completely useless to me now!

Dont waste your time. Seriously. Its terrible. Cant even play a video in landscape on an iPhone.

After the update this app now redirects to a iTunes app every 30 seconds. How in the hell am I supposed to watch the video? I would have been ok with one maybe two redirects per video but this app just shot itself in the foot with how many times it redirects. I will be uninstalling.

This app should be deleted off the earth completely so stupid ..... Who ever made this is in a mental

Everyone please take a moment and read the update page. It states that Google requested that the developer remove the background playback because it competes with a Google Now feature. Honestly, the background capability was the only reason why this app was useful, now it has no purpose. I now go to YouTube via Safari and play the video in the background that way.

Not as bad as the other apps in this category that claim to simulate YouTube videos for multitasking purposes, but nonetheless a horribly written app that does not offer for multi media support. Would not recommend downloading

even for a free app, there are way too many ads popping up, and stopping the video/music from playing. also, the removal of the background play made the app so much worse. please make a new update to fix these things!

Nothing loads. This app is now just crapware.

Background play was the only reason to use this app. Its very disappointing that the developer removed this feature and now its just pointless to even keep it on my iPad.

The only reason I ever downloaded this app was because it could use play videos in the background, you guys really blew it with this new update, Im deleting the app now, what a dumb idea
